At Masgras Professional Corporation, we work closely with High Schools, Colleges and Universities in the Toronto and Kitchener areas to provide students with an opportunity to work hands on at a law firm.

Our program is intended to provide each student an introduction to the practice of law. Most of the students we have coming into the firm have little, if any, previous experience in a law firm, and we have designed our program to the first step in the transition from the academic study of law to the practice of law.

If you are looking to complete co-operative hours and/or placement, we encourage you to send your resume in confidence to the HR Manager, Romanie St. George at rstgeorge@masgraslaw.ca.

Student Testimonials

Working at Masgras Professional Corporation was a great asset during my studies by being able to apply the theoretical knowledge I learned in class to practical application in a law firm. From the very beginning to the end of my placement, I was working with working with real clients and real cases. Most importantly, I was treated as part of team made up of some of the friendliest and hard-working individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

Completing my placement at Masgras Professional Corporation was so beneficial to my career as a Licensed Paralegal. I learned all about both the Tort and Accident Benefit side of Personal Injury law, from Undertakings and Productions to drafting Statement of Claims. I value everything I was taught by the Masgras team so much, and I was even lucky enough to join the team upon graduating from Seneca College. I would absolutely recommend Masgras for anyone who needs to complete their placements and articling.

Working for Masgras Professional has truly been the greatest learning experience I’ve ever had. Working with experienced professionals in the realm of personal injury, as well as an incredible office administrator has given me skills that I will use for the rest of my life. The team at Masgras offered to trust me as soon as I walked through the doors. They offered me many responsibilities if I was willing to complete them. They believed in me, which was a welcome surprise from working in a law firm. I was given opportunities to expand my learning through working with Georgiana Masgras and Barbara West. Barb taught me how the firm works, how to do some simple tasks, and how to present myself in a professional setting. Georgiana pushed me to be confident in my decision-making skills and be creative. The team entrusted me with much more than I was expecting. I felt like I was truly a valued member of the team and not “just a student”. It was a pleasure to work for Masgras Professional.

During my time at Masgras, I had the opportunity to learn how vital it is to fulfill undertakings in order to help the client receive their deserved compensation. I was able to utilize my skills learned in school in order to draft submissions to the License Appeal Tribunal including affidavits and motions. At Masgras, I learned how important it is manage an electronic filing system and keep it maintained and organized on a daily basis. I enjoyed my time at Masgras, the people and work environment was pleasant and I would recommend Masgras to other students entering into their field placements.
